Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the care of assigned patients, ensuring their health and nursing needs are met according to the health system's mission, vision, and values. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using age-specific criteria and must make judgments based on scientific knowledge and clinical skills.

Responsibilities

Assess patient health problems and needs.
Develop and implement nursing care plans.
Evaluate patient progress and initiate corrective actions as necessary.
Assist in directing and teaching non-RN staff, including LPN/PCT and Unit Secretaries.
Float to all units within skill level as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Minimum of 2 years of Med-Surg/Telemetry experience.
Skills Checklist, current to 1 year, pertinent to the specialty (Med Surg/Telemetry).
Active American Heart Association BLS certification.
Active American Heart Association ACLS certification.
Current Ohio RN License or Compact RN License.
