Job Description

The Surgical Technologist will be an integral part of a dynamic surgical team, providing high-quality support across a variety of surgical specialties, including ortho, neurology, gynecology, urology, vascular, and thoracic procedures. Strong knowledge and experience in laparoscopic techniques and various surgical protocols are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing and maintaining the sterile field during surgical procedures.
• Handle surgical instruments and equipment efficiently during operations.
• Coordinate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient care.
• Participate in pre-operative and post-operative procedures as needed.
• Adhere to hospital policies and protocols, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of surgical technologist experience in a clinical setting.
• Current BLS certification.
• Certification in perioperative nursing (CNOR) is preferred.
• Active New York state license is required.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is a strong requirement.
