Job Description

The Medical-Surgical Unit is looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care. Under the supervision of the unit manager, the RN will perform assessments, develop and implement nursing care plans, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Candidates should be prepared to care for COVID patients and work in a tobacco and fragrance-free facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including medication administration and wound care.
• Monitor and record patient vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Assist with diagnostic tests and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a sterile environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a medical-surgical setting.
• Current certifications in ACLS and BLS.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is required.
• Ability to float to various medical-surgical floors and potential rehab units.
