This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shifts are scheduled as three 12-hour rotations, alternating between day shifts (07:00 - 19:30) and night shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Please note that shifts may be variable to meet the operational needs of the hospital.

Job Description

The Med/Surg Tele RN will provide care to patients in the medical-surgical telemetry unit, utilizing nursing knowledge and skills to assess patient needs, deliver effective care, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individual care plans.
• Educate patients and families on health management and disease prevention.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient care strategies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in Med/Surg and Telemetry nursing prior to travel assignment.
• Valid Ohio nursing license or compact state license in hand.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessments must be completed during orientation with acceptable scores.
• Must work every other holiday and comply with nicotine-free workplace policies as applicable.
