Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery RN to join our Family Birthplace team. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-risk obstetrics and a passion for providing exceptional care to mothers and newborns in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor patient responses.
• Assist with labor and delivery procedures, including C-sections and vaginal deliveries.
• Perform assessments and document patient information accurately in the electronic health record.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care plans.
• Support and educate patients and their families throughout the birthing process.
• Float to sister units as required within the specialty.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in Maryland or compact state.
• BLS, NRP required; ACLS, STABLE, and AWHONN certifications preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Previous charge experience or travel experience is a plus.
