Schedule

Day shift: 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30) and Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30); rotating shifts may be required.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Stepdown Unit Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate clinical excellence and commitment to patient safety while managing complex patient needs in a progressive care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and IV therapies according to established protocols.
• Monitor and document patient progress and respond promptly to changes in condition.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care outcomes.
• Educate patients and families about health management and wellness strategies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in a Stepdown Unit or similar specialty.
• Active Ohio nursing license or compact state license required.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Must complete ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate during orientation, passing both assessments is mandatory.
• One professional reference from a supervisor or manager in the specialty is required.
