3x12-Hour shifts from 07:30 AM to 08:00 PM, every other weekend required.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for a 16-week assignment in Maryland. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of nursing experience and must be comfortable with a patient ratio of 1:3. This position requires the ability to float within the specialty as needed and includes responsibilities such as triaging obstetrical patients and assisting with deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Triage obstetrical patients and monitor fetal heart rates using EFM.
• Administer blood and blood products as necessary.
• Maintain and manage CVC and PICC lines.
• Start and maintain IVs, including insulin drips and magnesium sulfate therapy.
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and circling for C-sections.
• Conduct sterile vaginal exams and provide pain management including epidural anesthesia.
• Manage complications such as hemorrhage and shock.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Maryland RN License or Compact License.
• Current BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications.
• A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required; previous charge experience preferred.
• Experience working with Epic or similar charting systems preferred.
