Night Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday.

Job Description

The Night Shift Computed Tomography Technologist will perform Computerized Tomographic procedures in accordance with hospital standards as well as State and Federal regulations, ensuring timely execution of routine procedures. You will interact with patients to gather relevant information and provide instructions regarding the procedure. Continuous quality improvement measures will be utilized to enhance patient satisfaction and care quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform Computerized Tomographic procedures within a 45-minute time frame.
• Verify image presence and accurate documentation in the Picture Archiving Communication System.
• Interview patients to complete necessary forms and provide educational information.
• Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) processes via documentation and data collection.
• Maintain licensure and participate in continuing education developments.
• Attend staff and department meetings.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• High School diploma or equivalent; completion of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Competency in Computerized Tomography procedures and understanding of cross-sectional anatomy as it pertains to CT imaging.
• Active certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and/or NJ State Board of Examiners.
• Understanding of radiation protection standards.
