This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 3x12 hours (06:45 - 19:15); every other weekend, 1 winter and 1 summer holiday required depending on the length of the contract.

Job Description

The Albany Health System is seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide exceptional care to patients in a variety of settings, including Critical Care and Emergency Departments. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in adult critical care and be comfortable with a wide range of procedures.

Responsibilities

Assessment and management of patients with respiratory disorders.
Assisting with intubation and extubation procedures.
Performing airway management and providing mechanical ventilation support.
Administering oxygen therapy and other respiratory treatments.
Working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to develop patient care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Minimum of 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy (must be in specialty).
BLS, ACLS certifications required.
NY State License (required at the time of submission).
Previous charge experience preferred.
Experience with charting systems such as Epic preferred.
