Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Nurse to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. You will work with a diverse patient population, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics, addressing a wide range of common diagnoses such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Utilize specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusors and Arctic Sun.
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Float to different units as needed.
• Document and maintain accurate patient records in EMR systems, specifically EPIC.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department, with some pediatric experience.
• Travel experience is required.
• Current AHA certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC (TNCC is required to be in hand).
• NURSYS report for active New York RN license and all RN licenses.
• Valid driver's license with an address that matches demographic requirements.
