Schedule
Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM. Every other weekend commitment required. Must be flexible to the scheduling needs of the department.
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality patient care and coordination in a fast-paced environment. This position requires teamwork, real-time feedback, and flexibility to float within all sections of the Emergency Department.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care following established protocols.
- Monitor patient conditions and manage cardiac monitoring.
- Participate in triage and internal processing within the Emergency Department.
- Engage in effective communication with patients and families using AIDET principles.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner systems.
- Support a positive patient experience and uphold respectful behavior at all times.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an Emergency Room setting.
- Prior experience in a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center preferred.
- Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, ENPC (the latter to be obtained within 90 days of hire).
- Teamwork mentality with an ability to coach and give feedback in real time.
