Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM. Every other weekend is required, with flexible scheduling based on departmental needs.
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Nurse to join our dynamic team. You will be a vital part of our emergency care unit, providing high-quality patient care in a Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center. Your role will involve critical decision-making, hands-on patient care, and teamwork to ensure the best outcomes for our diverse patient population.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to emergency department patients.
- Perform assessments, documentation, and follow established protocols.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care.
- Participate in the education of patients and families regarding health management.
- Utilize advanced skills for emergency procedures and care delivery.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in an emergency setting.
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required prior to start date.
- Flexibility to float within the emergency department as needed.
- Previous experience in a high-volume emergency department is preferred.
