Registered Nurse - General Med/Surg Telemetry with Cardiac Focus

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shifts include 3x12-hour days from 07:00 to 19:30 and 3x12-hour nights from 19:00 to 07:30, rotating 50/50 with no on-call requirements. Typically, the schedule alternates between a week of days and a week of nights per pay period.

Job Description

The role involves providing care to general medical and surgical patients with a focus on cardiovascular conditions. The unit receives structural heart patients and supports a daily census average of 17 patients.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and manage medical devices related to cardiac telemetry.
• Participate in patient assessments and care planning with a focus on cardiac health.
• Provide patient education on cardiac conditions and post-procedure care.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, physical therapy, and pharmacy.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
• Experience with patient ratios of 6:1.
• Certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS are required.
• Valid Pennsylvania RN license or Compact license required at time of submission.
