This position is for the night shift, working a 12-hour schedule with a 3-day work week.
Job Description
The role involves caring for patients in a 28-bed PCU/IMCU unit with a focus on cardiac cases. You will be responsible for monitoring patients with a variety of cardiac conditions including STEMI, NSTEMI, and chest pain, managing cardiac drips such as Milrinone, Dobutamine, and Pressors. You may also be tasked with oversight of telemetry beds with lower acuity levels within the same unit.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care in a PCU/IMCU setting.
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions, particularly those with cardiac issues.
- Administer medications and manage cardiac drips as per physician's orders.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best patient outcomes.
- Document patient progress and any changes in condition in accordance with facility protocols.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of documented experience in a PCU or IMCU.
- Experience in a similar sized facility with a cardiac population is required.
- BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
