Physical Therapist - 13 Week Contract

Job Description

The Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans according to the patient's needs and physician direction. The role involves delegating and directing all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients. It emphasizes designing functional treatment programs allowing for effective return to community activities while serving as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address barriers to discharge.
• Manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions based on patient care needs.
• Document medical records clearly and accurately, ensuring compliance with guidelines.
• Participate in student programs by providing a positive learning environment.
• Actively engage in professional development and advocacy efforts.
• Adhere to the discipline-specific State Practice Act and maintain professional licensure.
• Understand and contribute to the organization’s performance improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
• Must hold a valid, current state license as a Physical Therapist.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience is highly desired.

Schedule

This position is for a Day Shift with a 5x8.0 schedule.
