Schedule
Shifts are 8 hours on weekdays, with flexible start times between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM. Weekend work is rarely required, and there are no holiday obligations.
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team. The primary focus will be on providing therapeutic services to a diverse patient population, including those recovering from surgery and managing various medical conditions. The position involves working in inpatient swing beds, assisted living facilities, and skilled nursing settings, with a small portion of time spent in outpatient therapy.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Implement therapy interventions based on evaluated needs.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Document patient care and treatment activities in the EPIC system.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Must possess a valid Occupational Therapy license for South Dakota.
- BLS certification is required.
- At least 2 years of experience in occupational therapy; clinical experience does not count towards this requirement.
- Preferred experience in long-term care/skilled nursing and working with patients in post-operative recovery.
- Mobility Certification (COMS) is required.
