Job Description
The CVOR Registered Nurse will be a vital member of the surgical team, responsible for providing high-quality care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgical procedures. The nurse will work in a surgical unit equipped with two OR suites and collaborate with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care during cardiovascular surgeries.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and overall health status.
- Assist with a variety of cardiovascular procedures including CABG, valve replacement, and pacemaker insertions.
- Support the surgical team by ensuring operating room protocols are followed.
- Participate in required on-call rotations, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Current RN license in the state of Virginia.
- ACLS and BLS certifications are mandatory.
- Previous CVOR experience is required.
- Scrubbing experience is preferred.
