Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This position involves providing direct patient care within the scope of practice and overseeing patient and family teaching, as well as the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards in Telemetry. The Registered Nurse communicates effectively with physicians regarding changes in the patient's clinical condition, including the results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and effective patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Engage in direct patient care within the defined scope of nursing practice.
• Guide patient and family education on care and treatment options.
• Direct and oversee the activities of other nursing personnel.
• Monitor and communicate changes in patients' conditions to the attending physician.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient conditions or treatment responses.
• Maintain adherence to EMTALA regulations and reporting abuse cases to the appropriate agencies.
• Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• NIHSS or stroke certification preferred.
• COVID vaccination/boosters preferred.
• BVP (MAB) training is a plus.
