Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) - Moderate Sedation

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse with a specialization in moderate sedation to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide care for a diverse range of patients in a fast-paced operating room environment, supporting various surgical specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, cardiac, and trauma at a level 1 trauma center.

Responsibilities

• Deliver moderate sedation to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
• Assist in the care of patients in various specialties, including but not limited to orthopedics, plastics, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, GYN, ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma.
• Utilize and integrate advanced robotic surgical systems as required.
• Collaborate with the medical team to ensure safe and effective patient care.
• Circulate in the operating room and assist with patient positioning and monitoring.

Schedule

This position requires days with 10 to 12-hour shifts, including on-call availability for weekends and nights.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN License in New York.
• Two (2) years of OR experience in a level 1 trauma center is preferred.
• Moderate sedation experience is required.
• IR experience is required.
• Certification in BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association.
• Telemetry experience is required.
