Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) - Outpatient/Inpatient

Schedule

Day shift, 4x8-Hour (07:00 - 19:00), 32 hours per week with weekend coverage required.

Job Description

The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) will work in both outpatient and inpatient settings, providing essential therapy services to help patients with their recovery. This role involves collaborating with the therapy team and executing treatment plans designed to promote patient progress.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the evaluation and treatment of patients under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
• Participate in the planning and implementation of rehabilitative programs.
• Maintain accurate documentation and track patient progress.
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and modalities.
• Support interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Current Missouri Licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• BLS and CPR Certification through the American Heart Association.
• Experience with charting systems would be beneficial.
