Full-time schedule from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with variations including a requirement of 4 weekends every 4 weeks and holiday availability.
Job Description
The Occupational Therapist will work in an acute care department supporting patients across the hospital. This role involves providing therapy to a diverse patient population experiencing a range of medical and surgical diagnoses, including ICU patients, stroke/neurological conditions, orthopedics, and general debility. The Occupational Therapist will follow physician orders to deliver evaluations, treatment plans, and interventions to aid patient recovery.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients and create individualized treatment plans.
- Provide therapy interventions according to established protocols.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
- Document patient progress in the One Chart - Cerner system.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 15-18 months of recent experience in Occupational Therapy.
- Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Active Georgia state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
