Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Wound Care Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional care to patients with various wound care needs. This role is pivotal in a teaching hospital environment, focusing on advanced wound management strategies.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients with wounds, including pressure ulcers and post-operative wounds.
- Utilize advanced wound care modalities, such as negative pressure wound therapy and autolytic debridement.
- Provide education on wound care management to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the highest level of patient care.
- Maintain documentation and follow protocols related to wound care treatments.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a wound care setting as a Registered Nurse.
- Current BLS certification.
- WOCN certification is required; continence certification is not necessary.
- South Carolina RN license preferred or proof of application for licensure.
