This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM. Every other weekend required. Holidays as needed. No on-call duties.
Job Description
Our Emergency Department (ED) RNs play a crucial role in providing immediate and high-quality care for patients experiencing emergency situations, particularly in a fast-paced and high-acuity Pediatric Emergency Department. You will need to be prepared to assess, prioritize, and address both physical and mental health conditions of pediatric patients effectively.
Responsibilities
- Perform quick and accurate assessments of incoming pediatric patients.
- Prioritize injuries and medical needs based on the assessment of patient conditions.
- Deliver specialized and innovative nursing care in emergency situations.
- Effectively communicate with patients, their families, and hospital personnel.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Pediatric ED experience required.
- Demonstrated performance and clinical knowledge in emergency nursing.
- Active NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required.
- NIH Stroke certification (4 hours CEU) and Telemetry experience is mandatory.
