Registered Nurse - CVICU - Night Shift

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position, offering a 12-hour night shift from 6:45 pm to 7:15 am. Weekends and holidays are required as scheduled.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for our CVICU, where you will provide care for critically ill patients with complex needs, primarily those with prior heart conditions. You will work in a fast-paced environment monitoring hemodynamic status and administering crucial interventions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care to critically ill patients during the acute recovery phase.
• Monitor and manage invasive and non-invasive hemodynamic monitoring.
• Administer medications and titrate drips as necessary, including but not limited to Dopamine, Levophed, and Insulin.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to determine patient needs and transition to appropriate care settings.
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans and recovery processes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license and certifications in BLS and ACLS are required.
• Preferred certification: TNCC (effective from October 21, 2025).
• Must have a minimum of 1-2 years of critical care experience, specifically in CVICU.
• Experience with CRRT, Impella, and IABP is required.
• Travel experience is required.
