Physical Therapist - Outpatient

Job Description

The Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with the patient’s needs, goals, and physician direction. Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, the therapist ensures the design of functional treatment programs, allowing for effective return to community activities. This role also includes educating patients, families, students, coworkers, and oneself.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop appropriate treatment plans aimed at progressing patients towards discharge.
• Document patient care clearly, concisely, accurately, and timely per clinic policies and procedures.
• Participate in student programs when assigned, providing supervision and support for their learning.
• Actively pursue professional development through continuing education and self-study.
• Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Acts and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
• Understand and contribute to organizational performance improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 6 months to 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience required.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active applicable licensure for the state where work will be performed.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a flexible schedule, requiring 40 hours weekly.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
