Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant will embrace the Select Medical Way and Core Values, focusing on delivering superior quality care while ensuring the safety of both patients and employees. This role involves implementing treatment goals and programs as established by the Physical Therapist and assisting with various therapeutic interventions to meet patients' long-term goals.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment goals and plans established by the Physical Therapist.
• Assist in therapeutic interventions, including posture training, strengthening exercises, endurance training, balance exercises, and functional skills training.
• Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics, or assistive devices.
• Demonstrate the use of various modalities and monitor patient responses, intervening as necessary.
• Document patient progress and educate patients and families on care plans.
• Maintain a clean treatment area and adhere to all safety, infection control, and clinic policies.
• Participate in team conferences and special projects aimed at improving patient care quality.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• CAPTE Certified.
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
• CPR Certification.
• Active license for the State where work will be performed.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a 5x8.0 schedule.
