Cath Lab Surgical Technician

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift: 4x10 Hour days, 07:00 - 17:30, Monday to Friday. Call and weekend call are required.

Job Description

The Cath Lab Surgical Technician will provide surgical support in the Cath Lab setting, specifically with a focus on structural heart procedures. The candidate must have experience in scrub duties and a thorough understanding of relevant heart-related procedures.

Responsibilities

Assist in complex procedural tasks such as balloon angioplasty, stent placement, and thrombectomy.
Manage and monitor catheter placement and support devices like Impella.
Maintain sterile fields and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to provide optimal patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cath Lab setting specifically with structural heart scrub experience.
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and at least one of the following: RCIS or ARRT.
Proficient in telemetry, EKG rhythm interpretation, and conscious sedation.
Experience with Watchman procedures, septal closure, and TAVR is preferred.
