This position involves 12-hour night shifts, specifically from 7 PM to 7 AM.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the step-down unit, managing various patient needs and conditions. The RN will work within a self-directed, team-oriented environment to achieve the best patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Manage care for patients transitioning from intensive care to step-down units.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions and vital signs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Document patient care and progress accurately in the EMR system.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- 1-2 years of step-down/telemetry nursing experience required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certifications required.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
