This is a day shift position from 07:00 AM to 05:30 PM, with weekend and night on-call requirements.
Job Description
The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Registered Nurse provides comprehensive assessment, monitoring, and intervention for a variety of cardiac procedures. Responsibilities include:
- Performing left and right heart catheterizations, administering coronary stents, and conducting balloon valvuloplasty.
- Executing pericardiocentesis and participating in structural heart procedures.
- Managing intra-aortic balloon pumps, Impella, and EKOS technologies.
- Being a key member of the Emergency On Call Team (STEMI Team).
- Administering oral and intravenous medications while managing sedation and monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Educating patients and their families about post-operative care, medications, and lifestyle changes.
- Handling paperwork and documentation, including patient consent forms, charting, lab results, and procedure documentation.
- Collaborating with other medical staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- A valid RN license is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cath lab, procedural, or sedation settings.
