Description
Job Description
The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) performs cardio-pulmonary evaluation, respiratory care, life support, and education of the patient, family, and public. This role involves working with in and outpatients of all ages who have deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system, following established protocols or the prescription of a physician. The RRT will carry out respiratory care duties in all areas of the hospital.
Schedule
This position involves 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM, with a weekly requirement of 36 hours. There is a possibility of working up to 48 hours.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- NRP, BLS, PALS, ACLS certification - Required
- Labor and Delivery/Neonatal Resuscitation Experience - Required
- NBRC RRT + New York State License - Required
- Associate's Degree in an Accredited Respiratory Care Program - Required
- Critical Care Proficient - Required
