Job Description
The Cath Lab Registered Nurse will provide specialized nursing care in the cardiac catheterization laboratory, focusing on both diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patient conditions before, during, and after procedures.
- Administer medications and perform intubations and sedation as required.
- Collaborate with the medical team to develop and implement care plans.
- Utilize diagnostic and treatment technologies efficiently and safely.
- Participate in patient education and support to enhance recovery and health outcomes.
- Respond to emergencies and perform basic life support as necessary.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- 2 years of experience in cath lab and interventional radiology nursing.
- Current New York State RN license.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Prior experience with EPIC charting system preferred.
- Travel experience is preferred but not mandatory.
