Job Description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients in a dynamic hospital environment. This role involves working within adult and pediatric populations across multiple facilities, including potential high-risk training on-site. The therapist will be responsible for both general and critical care respiratory therapy, including medication delivery, ventilation management, airway management, and responding to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services to adult and geriatric patients, as well as pediatric patients as needed.
• Perform medication delivery and bronchopulmonary hygiene.
• Initiate, manage, and wean invasive and non-invasive ventilation.
• Conduct airway management and suctioning, along with cuff and ETCO2 monitoring.
• Assist with intubation and extubation as necessary.
• Respond to rapid responses and emergency codes; perform CPR when required.
• Participate in blood gas sampling and analysis as well as specimen collection.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in respiratory therapy, preferably in adult critical care and emergency department settings.
• Current Ohio RRT license required.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP (must be obtained prior to start date).
