Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position involves providing high-quality care to patients in a specialized cardiothoracic intensive care unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing with specific expertise in managing patients recovering from cardiac surgery.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patients recovering from cardiothoracic procedures.
- Administer medications and manage treatment plans as prescribed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
- Educate patients and families regarding recovery and home care.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records in the EPIC system.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cardiothoracic ICU setting.
- Experience with fresh hearts is required.
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
- Proficiency in EPIC electronic health records.
- Travel experience is required.
