This is a 13-week contract position.
Job Description
We are seeking a competent Registered Nurse to provide both routine and complex nursing care in a clinical setting. You will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, and evaluating care for assigned patients, addressing their psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process according to the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice.
- Administer medications and treatments following protocols; monitor for side effects and treatment effectiveness.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
- Assess patient and family education needs and address those appropriately.
- Lead and delegate nursing care responsibilities as needed.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty (preferred).
- Current RN License in the state of Texas or compact.
- BLS certification (AHA only).
