Schedule

Straight Nights 7 PM - 7:30 AM, Every Other Weekend and Holiday, On Call per Unit Needs.

Assignment Duration

This is a 6-8 week assignment, starting on June 8, 2026.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) for Medical Surgical is responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients, focusing on their recovery and overall well-being. This role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams and includes patient assessment, care planning, medication administration, and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and psychological health.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately.
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and other relevant data.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Educate patients and families on managing health conditions and post-discharge care.
• Ensure patient safety by adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
• Recognize and respond to emergencies and provide immediate care as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of Med-Surg experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of travel experience required.
• High acuity unit experience with mentor/charge experience required.
• Valid and unencumbered RN license in Ohio.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Ability to arrive on-site within 1 hour if called in for on-call needs.
