Registered Nurse - MedSurg Unit

Schedule

This is a 12-hour night shift position with weekends as scheduled. Expect to work every other weekend, including 2 Fridays each schedule.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our MedSurg unit. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with a focus on post-surgical and orthopedic needs, as well as those in palliative care. The nurse will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to a patient ratio of 1:6-7, depending on unit census.
• Administer medications and monitor patient conditions, including management of IV drips.
• Collaborate with the charge nurse and house supervisor to ensure effective unit operations.
• Support patients requiring Bipap, Cpap, and High Flow therapies.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with safety protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS certification is required.
• Valid RN license in good standing.
• Experience in MedSurg is preferred.
