L&D Registered Nurse (Family Birthplace) - Nights

3x12 hour night shifts (19:00 - 07:30); Every other weekend required; Holidays as scheduled.

Job Description

The L&D Registered Nurse will provide high-quality care in a Family Birthplace environment, focusing on antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patient care. This includes monitoring patients during labor and delivery, providing support for both normal and high-risk deliveries, and caring for postpartum patients.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients.
• Manage labor and delivery processes, including assisting with C-sections.
• Provide education and support to new parents regarding caring for their newborns.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient care activities in electronic health records.
• Maintain competency in emergency procedures and protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of L&D experience required; first-time travelers accepted.
• Active RN license in Maryland or compact state required.
• BLS, NRP required; ACLS, STABLE, FHM, AWHONN preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
