Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM

Job Description

The primary focus of this role is to provide high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced Cardiovascular Progressive Care environment. You will care for patients recovering from complex cardiovascular and vascular surgeries, such as open heart procedures and thoracic surgeries, while also monitoring overflow medical cardiology patients.

Responsibilities

• Manage care for patients recovering from cardiovascular surgeries, ensuring appropriate monitoring and intervention.
• Oversee telemetry and vital sign assessments for patients with complex cardiac conditions.
• Administer medication and manage epidural pain systems.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team for a coordinated approach to patient recovery.
• Support with tube feedings, chest tube management, and other patient needs as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Experience in stepdown telemetry nursing preferred.
• Prior experience with cardiovascular surgery patients is highly desirable.
