Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) for night shifts. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience, although those with less experience but strong skills and active certifications will be considered. This position involves caring for high-risk deliveries and requires proficiency in related clinical skills and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to patients during labor and delivery.
- Assist with high-risk deliveries and perform essential procedures as needed.
- Monitor patient vitals and fetal heart rates using advanced technologies.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary medical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or compact state.
- ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, NRP certifications required.
- Previous charge experience preferred.
- Experience with Epic charting system is mandatory.
- Must be comfortable responding to emergencies and performing required procedures.
