Outpatient Physical Therapist - New Grad

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with each patient's needs, goals, and physician directives. Responsibilities include the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that facilitate effective return to community activities. This role serves as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and oneself while upholding professional standards and maintaining compliance with the organization's code of conduct.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to create and implement appropriate treatment plans and goals focused on patient progress.
• Maintain clear, concise, accurate, and timely medical record documentation in compliance with relevant guidelines.
• Ensure that care is delivered under valid physician orders and within insurance approvals.
• Participate as a positive role model for students, providing educational support and evaluations.
• Actively pursue professional development opportunities and participate in ongoing educational activities.
• Adhere to state practice acts and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the services provided.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an Accredited School.
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience is preferred.
• Current CPR certification.

Schedule

This position entails working 3 long days and 2 short days, with a typical shift length of 8 hours.
