Job Description

We are seeking skilled Medical Surgical Registered Nurses with Oncology experience to join our MS/Onc unit. The ideal candidates will provide comprehensive care to patients with medical-surgical diagnoses and oncology histories, including the administration of chemotherapy and biotherapy.

Responsibilities

• Manage and provide care to patients in an inpatient setting.
• Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy as required.
• Perform colostomy care, accessing ports, and blood product administration.
• Conduct blood draws from central and peripheral lines, including PICC line management.
• Oversee heparin and insulin administration, as well as care of surgical drains and chest tubes.
• Ensure compliance with isolation precautions and wound care procedures.
• Respond to changes in patient condition and perform necessary interventions.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with healthcare professionals.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical-surgical setting.
• Must have ONC certification and be able to administer chemotherapy.
• BLS certification is required.
• Charge nurse experience is preferred.
• CPI certification is a plus.
