The shift is 9x8s biweekly scheduled between the hours of 6:30 AM and 4:30 PM, with a full call rotation.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Endoscopy department will apply nursing theory, technical, and communication skills to deliver high-quality compassionate care to patients and families. The RN will assess patient needs, develop care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, provide direct care, evaluate patient progress, and coordinate care throughout the patient's episode. The Endo RN must develop specialized skills in managing patients admitted for various medical conditions, ensuring education and emotional support in a healing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient and family needs through active listening and observation.
• Develop individualized and culturally relevant care plans.
• Promote health, safety, and patient rights while providing care.
• Educate patients and families on self-care post-hospitalization.
• Document patient education and responses accurately.
• Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
• Foster a healing environment by building trusting relationships with patients and families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current New York State RN Licensure.
• One (1) year of experience as a Registered Nurse in an Endoscopy environment.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certification required.
