Job Description
Join our team as a Registered Nurse in our 32-bed Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit. The ideal candidate will have experience in Epic, with at least 2 years of experience in a similar role. In this high-paced environment, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care throughout the labor and delivery process.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum.
- Assist with high-risk deliveries and perform postpartum assessments.
- Administer medications and manage labor pain interventions, including epidurals and nitrous oxide.
- Support breastfeeding, newborn assessments, and discharge teaching.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in on-call hours based on staffing needs.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Must possess a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- 2 years of nursing experience in LDRP or equivalent.
- Certifications: NRP, AWHONN (or C-EFM), FHM; OB surgical recovery (C-section) preferred.
- Previous charge experience is preferred.
- Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
