Job Description

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for facilitating the development and rehabilitation of physically disabled persons, maximizing their functional status during hospitalization. The role involves evaluating, planning, implementing, and modifying age-appropriate treatment programs, as well as participating in discharge planning and performing necessary administrative duties.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patient needs and capabilities
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Participate in patient discharge planning
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Participate in performance improvement activities
• Pursue ongoing professional development
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• National and state licensure as an Occupational Therapist required
• Geriatric or swing bed experience preferred
