Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse with over 1 year of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with a specialized team delivering high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac conditions.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient care in the cardiac catheterization lab, ensuring optimal care and safety.
- Monitor patient status and report any changes to the medical team.
- Administer common cardiac drips such as verapamil, nitro, cardizem, neo, dopamine, and levophed.
- Utilize technology such as EPIC and XPER to document and track patient care.
- Possibly float to the Electrophysiology Lab or Pod D recovery as needed.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a cardiac cath lab setting.
- Active New York RN license.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA).
- Experience with EPIC electronic medical records.
- Proficient in clinical procedures related to STEMI/CODE MI, PTCA, diagnostic cath, structural heart, and management of access sites.
