Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Medical Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess critical thinking skills and the ability to provide quality patient care within a collaborative team environment. This role involves caring for a diverse patient population, including medical-surgical telemetry patients, orthopedic, urology, ENT, GYN, and general surgical cases.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care in a 25-bed telehealth unit
- Monitor patients and respond to changes in their status
- Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in rapid response and code situations as needed
- Document patient care activities in the EPIC system
- Support progressive care level patients requiring short-term increased monitoring
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical Telemetry nursing required
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- Current RN license and certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS required
- EPIC experience necessary from within the last 2 years
- Experience with insulin and cardiac drips is required
