Description

Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical with Telemetry at the Burlington, Vermont area. This position involves working in a Neurosurgical and surgical unit with an emphasis on patient care and unit protocols. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment. The role offers an assignment duration of 13-16 weeks and requires availability to work nights.

Job Details:

  • Location: Burlington, Vermont
  • Schedule: Nights shift, Monday to Sunday, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications:
    • Valid nursing license (must bring license on the first day)
    • Minimum of 2 years of unit experience in a large, teaching facility
    • Prior travel experience preferred
    • Certifications: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required before start date
    • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience with Epic within the past 2 years is mandatory
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience in Neurosurgical & surgical units
  • Additional Information:
    • No block schedules for any reason
    • Bi-weekly orientations on Mondays
    • All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
    • Complete work history (bed count, EMR, facility type, etc.) required for submission
    • Public transportation is NOT accessible; reliable transportation is strongly recommended
    • Illinois experience from within the past 2 years is required and nonnegotiable
    • Nurses must work 2 out of the 4 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Years Day
    • No block schedules for any reason
