Job Description
The Registered Cardiac/Vascular Sonographer will perform a variety of non-invasive imaging procedures. This position requires advanced knowledge and expertise in cardiac and vascular sonography. The ideal candidate will manage timely patient scheduling, ensure accurate documentation, maintain patient confidentiality, and uphold established clinical guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Perform echocardiograms, TEE's, TTE's, stress echoes, and other cardiac imaging procedures as specified.
- Conduct upper/lower venous duplexes, arterial duplexes, and other vascular imaging studies.
- Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of equipment and procedure rooms.
- Accurately document all procedures performed in the patient's chart using the EPIC system.
- Communicate with patients and their families regarding procedures and answer questions accurately.
- Notify medical staff of any images that deviate from normal findings, ensuring the highest care standards.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- BLS (AHA) Certification
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) via CCI
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) Adult Echocardiography via ARDMS
- Breast imaging experience is required.
