Outpatient Physical Therapist

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans based on patient needs, goals, and physician direction. Responsibilities include delegating and directing all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring functional treatment programs for effective community reintegration. The therapist also serves as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers while performing additional professional duties related to patient care and the development of therapy services.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop treatment plans and goals.
• Document care clearly, accurately, and in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Provide care under valid physician orders and within insurance approval as necessary.
• Engage in student program assignments, ensuring a positive and educational environment.
• Develop individual professional growth plans and pursue continuing education opportunities.
• Adhere to professional licensure and state practice acts while maintaining ethical standards.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and offer feedback for improvement.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• Minimum of 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Active and valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• Experience in orthopedics is required.

Schedule

This position follows a 5x8.0 schedule.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
