Night shift, 4x12-hour schedule (18:45 - 07:15). Must be able to work holidays.
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Med/Surg unit. The position requires flexibility and the ability to work in a high-paced environment. The RN will provide care for adult and geriatric patients, involving routine medication administration and monitoring for various medical conditions. Experience in managing insulin and heparin drips is essential. In addition, the RN may be assigned to manage patients affected by COVID-19 and will be part of an Inclement Weather Team.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications, including insulin and heparin drips.
- Monitor patient vitals and provide general Med/Surg care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Participate in unit meetings and adhere to scheduling needs, including every other weekend rotation.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Med/Surg setting.
- EPIC experience required.
- BLS certification required; CPI certification preferred.
- Charge nurse experience preferred.
- Current RN license in North Carolina or compact state license.
